On top of reading that I'm doing for my other, current, subjects (Lifelong learning for leadership and Mission, discipleship and leadership in cultures of change), I'm also hoping to read or re-read about a dozen books on missional spirituality, the camino or Taizé before I go. So, here's the list so far:
- Arthur Poel Boers (2007) The way is made by walking: a pilgrimage along the camino de Santiago
- Kenneth Collins (2000) Exploring Christian spirituality: an ecumenical reader
- Charles Foster (2010) The sacred journey
- Christian George (2006) Sacred travels: recovering the ancient art of pilgrimage
- Anthony Gittens (2001) Bread for the journey: the mission of transformation and the transformation of mission
- Ignatius of Loyola (1914) The spiritual exercises
- Frere Roger (2006) Essential writings
- John Brian Santos (2008) A community called Taizé: a story of prayer, worship and reconciliation
- Evelyn Underhill (2003) Essential writings
- Tom Wright (1999) The way of the Lord
As you can see, there's room for a couple more. So, if you've got a suggestion please let me know in the comments.
